Confused-what's the difference between beans and legumes?

Can you give me some examples of legumes please?

Beans are part of the legume family. Peas are also legumes, as are peanuts. It has to do with the way the seeds grow & split in order to germinate into plants.

They are one and the same. And like what Jodi said, peanuts aren't really a nut, but a bean.
