Cramping in upper left abdominal quadrant

54 year old male

Intermitent Cramping in upper left abdominal quadrant accompanied with nausea. Does not feel like typical intestinal cramp. Actually feels like kicking baby - not joking. The movements are large and in different directions. Gall baldder problem? My dad had this decades ago.

Are you pregnant? (joking.)

If it is giving you some sever discomfort, like it is, I'd suggest that you go see your doctor.

In the mean time, you can try out the webmd symptom checker. I've found it to be useful in the past.

Your gallbladder is on the right, just under your rib cage with your liver, so It is not likely that. Are you running a fever? This can be (and if I were your doctor it is what I would first rule out) an Intestinal obstruction.

If you have 3 or more of the following symptoms, go directly to your doctor.

Abdominal fullness, gaseous
Abdominal distention
Abdominal pain and cramping
Vomiting
Failure to pass gas or stool (constipation)
Diarrhea
Breath odor
