Call you dentist or specialist who did the original work. Most crowns are guaranteed for at least five years, sometimes eight, so you want to get it taken care of asap if it is newer work. Best of luck with it.
Definitely call your dentist.
In the meantime, you can use some temporary dental filling (like Dentemp O.S.) from a drugstore to keep food particles out of the exposed portion of the tooth.
If you are in pain from the exposed area, try some "Dent's toothache gum" from Walgreens or CVS. It's not actually a gum, but a medicated wax that contains a numbing agent and a sticky substance that covers the exposed area of the tooth and relieves pain temporarily.
You will need to call your dental office and make an appointment to either have the broken dental crown fixed or replaced.
You do need to have it looked at by your dentist soon.
