Is an overdose of gummy vitamins fatal?

Hello Thalassic774....Yes, this can be fatal depending on the amount ingested...If you are not sure, you should call your poison control center(the number should be infront of the phonebook), or take the child to the local ER.....Vitamin overdose can cause severe Ph imbalance due to the iron content....Depending on when these were ingested, and how quickly the individual is treated for the overdose, will determine any long term effects.We use activated Charcoal to counteract these effects and to help eliminate this from the body..We may often times in children only need to give the charcoal, depending on lab studies..In severe overdose(large quantities, we will give them meds to empy the intestines(promote a bowell movement) to further eleminate the drug ingested......Please, keep us posted...Good Luck to you and God Bless.
