Can you get Sclerosis of the spine after only having one Surgery? What is the usual way to treat this?

I was just told I have sclerosis of the spine, arthritis of the spine and a herniated disc. I had back surgery 4 years ago on a ruptured disc, they just went in cleaned me out and sewed me up. I haven't had a day since then that i haven't had numbness in my toes and cramps and jitters in my legs. Now I have been told this but given no other information until a Neurosurgeon can be found that takes my insurance. My doctor says keep positive but not knowing makes it hard.

While sclerosis is a degenerative condition, it is not anything to lose sleep over. There are worse things that could have been diagnosed. It is treatable and with braces and what you could get all or some of your orginal mobility back. Until you see a neuro, you should think positive because the mind can put you over the edge when not necessary. Everything you described is fixable or controlable, The time to worry is when the doctor asks if you have burial insurance.
