Try to make sure he is getting enough fluids-especially juice and water. Without plenty of fluids, he will become dehydrated and his stool with harden which leads to constipation. Increase his amount of fiber. Prunes, raisins, apples, peas, whole grain breads and peanu butter are great sources of fiber.
If these remedies do not work, consider eliminating a large amount of milk from his diet. Children need milk for good bone health, yet some children can have lactose problems which causes constipation. I hope he feels better!
