Do I have a stress fracture in my toe, or is it just turf toe?

My 1st metatarsal hurts when I put preasure on it. It feels like it is going to "crack"(like you would crack a nuckle), but it never does. In conjunction with this my arch screams in pain when I am done running. I attribute this to a weak achillies tendon and/or calf muscle. It specifically hurts on the outside of my foot.

I would go to your doctor, and have them take an x-ray of it. if it is broken he/she will be able to tell you and what to do to help it heal faster.

You could have a fracture, especially if you did some trauma to your foot. Other possibilities include inflammation (like gout), tendonitis, plantar fasciitis. The first step is to get an X-ray. If you have more pain with running, look at your arch. If it is too flat or too high, you may need some kind of arch support to prevent this kind of injury.
