What can be done to aid in prescription medication withdrawal symptoms?

47 year old male, history of chronic depression, anxiety, insomnia/sleep disorder, and chronic pain stemming from injuries suffered in a car accident in 1984 including but not limited to, cartlidge degeneration between the sacrum and the iliac crest right side, severe osteoarthritis, right wrist has been fused, and general total body aches from many years post severe trauma. Recent medications: Trazadone 100mg/day, Xanax 0.50mg TID, and Norco 10/325 mg TID. Approximately 45 days ago the patient was dismissed from his general practitioner's office due to a policy pertaining to appointments and missed appointments. They continued his care for the required 30 days and then no longer would treat him. Given that the patient is uninsured, it has been difficult to find a new doctor. At this point, I beleive he is going through severe physical and emotional withdrawal due to having to stop all his medications at one time. He is having severe anxiety, severe insomnia, complains of not being able to relax, cannot sit or stand in one place for longer than a few seconds, feels like his "skin is crawling", and the chief complaint is the inability to sleep. It has been 5-6 days/nights now with no more than 2 or 3 15 minute naps. The anxiety seems to be preventing sleep, but I am sure that stopping trazadone, an anti-depressent, cold turkey could cause many problems. Please Help! We don't know what to do at this point. Any suggestions or ideas for the next step would be greatly appreciated
