This problem usually occurs as a result of nerve damage. We call this glove and stocking distribution and it typically occurs with a condition called peripheral neuropathy. What occurs is damage to the longest and largest nerve fibers which tend to run in the extremities, the arms and legs. This is a relatively common problem that occurs as a result of many different diseases and conditions. You will want to take her to her neurologist as this can be being caused by her meds (I assume she is on more than one?) or it could be a sign her nerves have been damaged, or her seizures are not well controled.
