"mg" is the abbreviation of "milligram", which is 1/1000th of a gram.
"mcg" is the abbreviation of "microgram", which is 1/1000th of a milligram

I would like to know how much total folic acid I am getting between the vitamin of 400mcg and Rxi of 1mg. how do I convert the Mc to Mcg?
1 mg (milligram) = 1000 mcg (micrograms)
So you are getting (400/1000) + 1mg = 1.4mg of folic acid
According to the US department of health, you should be getting 400mcg per day. Folic acide helps reduce the risk of brith defects. As you can see you are getting much more than the recommended amount which certainly won't cause any harm. I'm sure that your dr had a reason for you to be on a higher than recommended dose.
