Pain on my lower left side? is more about something new instead of something a year old and i would go to a doctor for this condition because of the likely hood that this is to do with the lower back and hip there are no organs around that area except the spleen and this may be gas trapped under the rib cage called splenic flexure syndrome and then it could be the muscles and hip and nerves that run down the hip to the sciatic nerve this may be bothering you so go to a doctor and let them check this!

Hi, Pain on the lower left side is often a symptom of Diverticulitis. This is a disease of the colon. You develop pockets inside the colon that can trap gas and stool. This can be quite painful. Doctors will adivse you to eat a high fiber diet and drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.

A high fiber diet would consist of:

Beans
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Lettuce
Corn
Peas
Cabbage
Strawberries
Apples
Oranges
Raspberries

These are just a few high fiber foods. Hope this helps. If you do not feel better soon, please see a Doctor. It certainly could be a UTI or a kidney stone.

Without benefit of knowing your age, or medical history , I can only advise you of some assumptive possibilities. I do not know if you are male or female, however, as stated above, this could be related to diverticulitis...There are an array of problems that could be considered..If you are female, this could be gynocological in origin...If you are male, this could be related to prostate problems..Whether male or female, this could be related to Urinary Problems such as Renal Colic(Stones)..Generally with diverticulitis, the pain will become progressively worse, and in most cases the individual will run a low grade temp and can expirience nausea and vomitting...However, kidney stones can give the same symptoms..Another possiblility is rectal polyps..I can only advise you that if this continues, you should seek medical attention..As you can see from above, there are many possiblilities...I hope this was a bit helpful..Increase your fluid intake for sure...Please, keep us posted..Good Luck and God Bless..
