My 8 yr. old son has a bump on his nose that looks like a pimple the doctor tried to burst it nothing but blood came out she prescribed mupirocin and

Cefdinir and the medication is not working. The bump has been there now for 4 weeks.

Have they determined if it was a simple dermal cyst? If it isn't oozing, but just getting slowly bigger it may be a clogged oil gland. It is a simple doctor's office surgical procedure (about 10 min.) to remove it. Popping it like a pimple won't work, it'll just keep getting clogged. The sac that surrounds the "paste" inside must be completely extracted. Good luck!
