The job of a cardiologist is to put in place measures which are aimed to prevent cardiovascular disease: heart failure, hypertension, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmia ...

The cardiologist puts his patient through a series of tests and examinations : (EKG, stress test ...) to get a medical impression of their general health and the health of their heart in particular. After analyzing the results, the cardiologist will give a diagnosis and recommend treatment. This usually consists of the adoption of a special diet, some physical activity or, if the case is serious, surgery.

The cardiologist then remains in contact with patients to monitor their progress and help them to lead a life that is as normal as possible.
