A proctologist does any treatment or orders that have to do with the treatment of the colon rectum ,anus so it has any diagnotis and treatment of those areas

A proctologist specializes in the treatment, and diseases, of the anus, rectum and colon. Proctologists are more commonly known as colorectal surgeons now. The fields of proctology and gastroenterology overlap in areas concerned with the lower digestive tract.

Some proctologists, or colorectal surgeons, in my area include Dr. Katherine Kouvelis at Dreyer Medical Clinic in Aurora, Illinois and Dr. James Wielgolewski in Naperville, Illinois.
