A radiologist takes xrays ordered by a dr and reads the results and it comes out on paperwork so the radiologist can give the dr that ordered the xray or other information to the dr basically his idea of what might be going on

The Asheville Radiology group employs over 200 people, including 37 radiologists in a multi-speciality practice. most people in our region have has tests performed at Asheville Imaging including routine mammography. They are staffed with a caring group of health professionals.

The job of the radiologist is to analyze images obtained from medical imaging (X-rays, ultrasounds, scanners ...) based on requests from the general practitioner or specialist of the patient.
They are trained to interpret such images for signs of fractures, diseases such as a tumor or a lung infection.
Radiologists also performs ultrasounds on internal organs and pregnancies.
