A urologist is a physician specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and management of health disorders related to the kidneys, bladder, urethra, urinary tract, male reproductive organs and ureters. I would highly recommend Dr. Bruce Armstrong at Asheville Urology Associates in Western North Carolina. Dr. Armstrong is considered to be one of the finest physician/surgeons in our region.

Dr. Armstrong has treated my husband for years, including the treatment and surgery related to kidney cancer, (including the removal of the affected organ). He has also taken great care to monitor his condition for any recurrence of the cancer to develop in surrounding areas. It has been well over a decade since the original surgery with no recurrence of related issues and the remaining kidney has increased in size and ability to function sufficiently to maintain good health. Sincere thanks to Dr. Bruce Armstrong.

A urologist treats diseases and abnormalities of the urinary tract system. They can treat anything from diseases of the bladder and kidneys to treating severe UTI's. They can perform surgeries and certain outpatient procedures. I visited one by the name of Weathers for several years in Texas.
