Thanks, I did. He said that they were Vaginal Varicose Veins. And according to him, very common. This is my second child & I had never heard of them. Apparently they get worse with each pregnancy, YEA for me & others,,,,,
Wow very interesting. I have heard that after having children your labia my even change color, to a more purple color. So that makes sense. No reason to fret as long as it isn't painful, and I'm sure the hubby doesn't care.
If it bothers you so much you could look into vaginal rejuivnation surgery. I'm not sure if it would help your varicose veins though but just a thought.
I actually have the same spots on the inside of my labia as well. They are very small and purple. they do not hurt at all. However, One of them a couple weeks ago was bigger almost like a boil but not that big. I popped it and it actually bled for some time. I have about 6 small little purple spots. I am not pregnant, but did have a child 4years ago? Is mine the same thing?
The same thing happened to me after 2 kids and my OBGYN says it's very common. I talked with my good friend who is an paramedical esthician and the same thing happened to her so she started working on a product just for this since there are no products out there on the market. She sells it on ebay. It's called "My New Pink Button". It's a temporary stain to make the color look pink and even out the skin discolorations. I use whenever I feel the need --think date night :) It's easy to use and it works. I am helping her spread the word. You can find it on ebay. Hope this helps!
Varicose veins can appear everywhere you have veins it seems. As long as it is not painful or doing you any harm I would not worry. If you have any further problems I would see the gynaecologist again.
I have these purple spots too. Problem is, I only started getting them when i lost weight (as I had been big all my life before), then they became bigger during my pregnancy last year. Now i have several of them.
What treatment is there for Vaginal Varicose Veins?
