Help getting off xanax in 5 days because methadone clinic said he has to quit now!

Well heres whats happened my husband and I are going to a methadone clinic together and he just started with me at this clinic. Which he had a doctor who was giving him 480 10mg methadones and 150 xanax a month. Well this doc.didnt take our insurace so she dropped him after 11 yrs of giving him these 2 meds, monthly and he started the clinic and about 2 months ago. When you go to a methadone clinic they do UA on you which his showed levels that made the doc. say he had never ran across someone with this much xanax in there levels so they pulled him off to the side and said he has to get off xanax within 5 days or no more methadone which he takes 110mgs aday now which I dont take this two drugs I just take methadone and Im at 180mgs aday which I need to find out how to go down on my dose because its to much I think I like to sleep alot and dont wait to go anywhere at this time and this is not like me or him just a years ago when I was at 110mgs Ihad energy I loved to go walking and we played tennis with our kids daily and now I fill like s_ _ t all the time.but anywhy back to him we dont know what to do about this 5 day limit because he has 25 pills left and he doesnt want to go cold turkey to much can happen so we are trying to find away to make him quit with just having him take so many a day till gone but we need a example of detoxification to make these 25 pills help him quit.
