This is a open ended question. Why do you require oxygen? What Medications do you take? I would speak to a Respiratory Therapist to learn ways to improve your breathing. Not knowing what your condition is or what your base line O2 sats are, it makes it very difficult to answer this question. I would either ask my physician or a Resp Therapist.
The normal Oxygen level is 98-100%.....This is for someone who #1 is a non-smoker or has no pre-existing Pulmonary problems....Individuals who have COPD or other Pulmonary Disorders this number can be quite low, 90 or even lower...However, if the O2 level is below 92, we get concerned and will most likely do Pulmonary Function Studies to find out the cause. Supplemental Oxygen may be necessary depending on the cause..When the oxygen level falls extremely low, this is known as Hypoxia..... When patients have Pulmonary Problems, they tend to do a more rapid breathing or use their ancillary muscles to breath...This creates another problem. They begin to retain C02 and actually get more short of breath ....Slow, purse lip breathing can help to control this. Patients with Respiratory Problems benefit from speaking with their physician or a Resp Therapist and learn the proper way to breath with Pulmonary Problems even if they are on supplemental 02....Answer to your question, 300 is not an Oxygen Level
