How high does a childs fever have to be for emergency?

My 9 year old daughter has had a fever since thursday evening, ranging from 102.0 to 104.0. Her fever spikes back up once the motrin has worn off. She isn't lathargic, just week. No ear pain but her eyes are completly bloodshot and her nose stings. I do have insurance so taking her is fine, I just don't want to be sent home because of a virus. thank you

Child's fever ? The child's fever is at the point were i would take her to the ER if she were my child and this is because there is no time if she were to break even higher and i would want to get this down now and see whats going on and not worry about the trip because the only way to know is to take her and maybe she wont have to be as sick as she is with a doctor help right now and he can give her something for comfort and get the temp down and maybe save her a lot of problems later on .high temps are nothing to take lightly and take her to see what this is for sure.
