I have itching on the backs of my legs and benadryl itch cream isn't working what will?

The backs of my legs where my knees bend is itching it did some days ago and I used benadryl cream and it stopped for a few days now it is back the cream ian't working, it's 3am and the itch is keeping me up.
I showered a while ago to take anything off reused the cream and still is
itching bad.
