I am using Implanon and i had to take an antibiotic. I was wondering how long would it take for my birth control to start working again?

OK the antibiotic rifampin — other antibiotics do not make Implanon less effective is the only one that affects this so if this is the one that you are taking it will last in trace amounts for about 2 weeks and you should contact the doctor for this info also! and see what he advises . he may have you wait longer then this but i think this is a fair amount of time!
