I have problematic ingrown toe nails that are recurring. I would go see a podiatrist who specializes in feet. It is a foot doctor that may be able to laser part of your cuticles on your toe so that you don't keep having ingrown toe nails. What it sounds like to me is that when they cut the nail during the surgery, they still left an improper jagged edge and it could be causing it to be another ingrown toe nail. See your doctor and ask for a referral to a podiatrist. I hope this helps! By the way, you are doing all the right things. Warm salt water soaks, etc. Make sure that when you trim your toe nails, you cut them straight across, and don't rip them across. This also helps (in the future) to not get ingrown toe nails.
