Any type of soda is in essence "not healthy" for you. However, having one every now and then is fine. Diet sodas have artificial sweeteners which are worse for you than just drinking a regular soda. I would cut down your diet soda consumption and replace it with something else, such as lemonade or water. Even gatorade. The amount you are drinking now shouldn't harm you, but its better to be safe than sorry. I hope this helps!

There is too much sugar in regular soda, not to mention gatorade. These 'empty' calories are really not good for you. You would probably be better off with the artificial sweeteners, although there is nothing wrong with a nice cool glass of water.

Diet Pepsi and other diet sodas and "diet" products often contain Aspartame. When the temperature of Aspartame exceeds 86 degrees F (which it often does in the warehouse) the wood alcohol in ASPARTAME coverts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis. (Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants). The methanol toxicity mimics multiple sclerosis, and systemic lupus. It only takes drinking 2 or 3 diet sodas a day to get methanol toxicity. Aspartame also caused carbohydrate cravings (not the best for a diet) You are actually less likely to gain weight by drinking regular soda than diet. Aspartame also causes memory loss, and has been linked to Alzheimer's Disease, and has been known to cause birth defects.
