The fat content of fast food, is enough to pose a health risk. The size of the servings also adds to the health risk, it can lead to obesity, so yes, it is a health risk. Too much salt, can raise blood pressure, another risk, so eat fast food in moderation.

In the documentary "Supersize Me", a perfectly healthy man goes to several medical specialists to have his health checked before going on a 30-day diet of McDonald's food. Before the end of the 30-day period, some of his health indicators were so far out of the normal range that some of the specialists were telling him to abandon this experiment before the 30 day period ran its course. Rent and watch this movie along with the tons of extras in the DVD. It's not just McDonald's, you can bet that most fast food would have a similar effect.
