Lower left abdominal pain

Hello,
I am 22 years old and have been noticing lower left abdominal pain, i woke up yesterday morning and when i coughed or leaned against the sink, i had major pain. I had the same thing a couple of months ago, and my doctor thought that it could be an ovarian cyst, but my Ob said that it was ibs. I had a colonoscopy just to see if there was anything there and everything was fine, my gastrointestinal doctor told me to start taking fiber b/c he thought that it was IBS too. It went away later on, and I haven't noticed it since June or so, but now its back.
I don't think that it is IBS because I am going to the bathroom regularly.
I want to know if anyone else has had this problem, I got married 14 mos. ago, and don't have any children, we haven't been able to conceive. Please help

If you are having a relapse, it might be good to have your doctor check you out again.

It might be ovarian related even though it wasn't in the past episode. If it is IBS, that is a chronic problem. Have you changed your diet?

I had the same thing for years. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I do have cysts on my ovaries and it took me 6 years to have a child because i was always missed diagnosed. Everytime i went in for the pain, they told me i was constipated and i needed to lose weight and eat better. more fiber in my diet...all that good stuff. When i started trying for a baby, i knew something was wrong and it took years before I was diagnosed. I got pregnant 4 months later and pregnant agian when my daughter was 6 montsh old. Im not saying this is what u have but u should get checked out. go to a differant ob and ask. if they ignore u...keep trying. It took me along time to find someone to listen. do u have any other symptoms? R ur periods always regular?

Thank you for your answer. I don't know if it is IBS or not, and yes I am overweight, and cant seem to lose.
I am about 80 pounds overweight. That may be the problem to , but I was just checking to see what everyone else thought.
Thank You Again, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

No my periods aren't regular. they are about 34 days apart, and when my period does show up, it is very very very light. I usually don't have to where to much protection, but I still do, my period seems
to last a lot longer too. It used to be moderate adn lasted about 5 days now its' light and last from 8 to 10. I am sick of this and want to know what is going on. My ob i had put me on Clomid and that messes me up, so I don't take it, he just told me that Its the clomid or nothing, I don't ovulate regular, and that is frustrating, I want' to be a mother, and it seems that it can't happen.
Please let me know what you think.

Yes, my doctor put me on clomid years ago on its own...I got all screwed up and sick...I was even having issues with behavior and my overaries became inlarged. It was scary. We stopped trying to have children for the next couple of years. Thats when I found a great doctor that said, In my case I need to take Glucophage along with the clomid to be effective...Each time doing that, it only took me 4 months to get pregnant. I am still on glucophage right now...I know its a diabetic drug, but it can help with other things too! I still have a lot of problems but I have not had any pain from cysts or any pain in my abdomine for about 3 years!
Let me know what happens! I am very interested to c if this helps!
Good luck and let me know if u need anything else or email me if u ever want to talk,

that is my email, lana
