I've been taking amox tr-k clv for several days. I've been getting a mild itchy rash on my arms, feet, and back. I'm curious as to is this caused by my medication and is it serious? thank you

You are experiencing an allergic reaction to your medication amoxicillin trk. This is a type of penicillin, and it is known to cause a reaction of rash like you described. It is best to discontinue the medication and let yourdoctor know. Then an alternative medication can be prescribed to treat your illness.

Anytime you are asked about allergies to medications, let the hospital or clinic know you are penicillin allergic.
