Sharp pain on right side of abdomen during Urination

I am a male. I went to the ER a week and 1/2 ago for pain on the right side of my stomach. They did a CAT scan and blood work and everything came back normal. This past week everytime I urinate, when the first stream comes out I get a sharp pain on my right side of my stomach and then it burns as it flows out. My doccor did a urinalysis and it came back clear, he also ran tests on it and nothing else is wrong. I still get that sharp pain, but not as much, but now I am having lower back stiffness and pain, plus my legs are starting to hurt as well. I am not sure what else it can be if all of the tests have been negative. They have tested for Chlymadia, UTI, Kidney infection and nothing. Any ideas what can be causeing it. I have also been drinking more water and 100% cranberry juice and the pain has subsided just a bit.

L am a woman, but I am having the same problems. But I also have other problems that tie in with it, but turns out I have IC. It is Interstitial Cystitis, and it is where your bladder has huge cysts all over it and it becomes inflammed and causes ain during urination. But today, I started having sharp pains in my back and side when i go to the bathroom. i haven't gotten it checked yet because it is very expensive to go the ER for our insurance, but I think it could be IC. I have a couple questions that came with a pamphlet my doctor gave me. Do you go to the bathroom alot? And what does alot mean to you? Do you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom? How would you rate the pain? And whenever you answer me back, I will tell you whether I think that is what it is or not. If it is indeed IC, you will have to get injections into your bladder and YOU have to buy the injections, you also have to take two tablets before bed. Altogether it is $600 for them both. Just get back to me.
