Heart will skip a beat ? This could be the valves opening to fast or to slow at times and could also be a double beat that makes it feel like skipping a beat. and this is called PVCs or premature ventricular contractions. Basically, your heart skips a beat and then resumes beating normally until a minute or so later, when it happens again. and this is not dangerous it happens to a lot of people and if this bothers you then you may want to go to a doctor to get some medications to help this condtion and i know this is a bother my wife has this and had it for many years but it dont hurt any thing and does not cause harm . but is a worry when setting there and the heart does the jump thump . but if you need then consult a doctor .

I have this condition and went to the doctor for it. he says it is Heart Palpitations and does not do any harm. They can be triggered by caffine and/or sugar. The doc says if the palpitations continue stay away from junk food and get plenty of cardio vascular activity.

I get those too, I hate them! Everyone always says they're harmless, but it just seems so hard to belive it's okay for your heart to beat WRONG. Anyway, after 20 years I'm still here. My grandma got them too and she lived to age 87 and died from something unrelated.

Heart will skip a beat ? 20 to 25 is around the edge when this starts to be noticed and sometimes the person will be sensitive to the feelings that the thump makes in the heart but younger people do not give it as much thought because of the mind condtion that there's no way any thing can be wrong with me ! and as the person grows older they start to notice this and other conditions that make them a normal human! But really Electrical you need to have this checked out and keep the potassium at a normal level because if you get low potassium this will make it a lot worse and you will notice that this makes you weak and not as active after a spell of this and the thoughts of iam going to die are really normal and this is the human mind growing that we are not here to stay permanent and this will cease to bother you when you get to be my age also and under stand that life is good while it lasts and make the best of it while you can and dont worry!

Many healthy individuals will at some point in their life expirience a PAC(premature atrial contraction), or PVC(premature ventricular contraction)..These types of Arrythmia's are not unusual..Abit disconcerting for some, however, quite normal...However, if an individual is having regular episodes , then they need to have this evaluated by their physician...We only become concerned if this becomes a sustained rythmn of the heart....In some instances, stress, or other culprits such as caffeine can be a culprit...In any event, as stated before, if this is a problem for an individual, they should speak to their physician about this...In most cases, we will place a "Holter Monitor" on the patient to see what their rythmn is for 24hrs...Some patients require a Beta Blocker to keep their heart in normal rythmn....Most patients describe these incidents as "I feel like my heart jumps out of my chest. or I felt like my heart just stopped for a second or My heart felt like it flipped over and it took by breath away for a second"...These are just a few of descriptions that patients give in referencing how these episodes make them feel...However, when in doubt, check it out....Peace of mind can often times cure many things...I hope this was abit helpful...Good Luck and God Bless.

I did get checked before I posted this question and my doctor said that I was healthy and in good fit. So after that I did some research and found out that it is from not eating right and that the body is missing something pluss on top of that it is also from stress in a persons life. So from my research I'm going to eat food that the body realy needs and don't worry too much in life. And don't forget the exercise.
Thank you all for posting your answers they all helped. If I could reward you all I would. You guys keep well.

Once a week or even once a day is normal and nothing to worry about. However if anyone has regular skipped beats please try taking 400mg Magnesium supplements daily and it will reduce these and small arythmias that occur periodically.
