OK now this has worked for me . and i got the person by their self and said . this is a problem and we need to fix this before it gets worse and i love you and only want the best for you. and start by not telling them they need to go to a doctor at first but being able to talk to them and listen to what they have to say about this. and NO they wont get better after while! and no they can not do this by their self . and yes today there are meds that millions of people are on that helps them get back to living there life . and enjoying every thing and every one. and tell them that every one at some time in there life has a time like this and that the brain is like a person with a cold. if you get a cold you take meds to get better . and the brain is the same way, it gets a cold like depression and you go to the doctor and it will get better. and modern medicine is great today they have ways to help that take a short time and not like in the old days when people didn't have any help. and lawyers , doctors teaches and every one else takes this for help . and its ok. and there is to much to do in this world besides getting sick and staying down. and god wants us to be healthy and safe. ,_________ and Lissa this is the time for this in the spring before hot weather to strike people , and they can not stand the thought of summer time and staying in doors , but they see this as the only way to be . so be close to this person and stand your ground at the same time and dont stop till they give. !

When a loved one has Clinical Depression, it is very difficult on those who are so close to them..Some patients will shut all doors and not allow anyone in...They disassociate themselves from everday life and think that they can deal with this on their own...I can only tell you that in many cases, it is best to have the patient speak with someone who is not close to the situation..If they have an individual that they feel safe with and are trusting of, then they are more likely to open up..Giving your support and love will be of great importance to this individual..But one must get beyond the barriers that these individuals put up..They do not believe that anyone could possibly understand what they are feeling...If there is a Minister or Priest or other spiritual adviser that they feel comfortable with, this may be the route to take...If not, then the only think that a loved one can do is to continue to let this individual know that they will get through this, even though they may not think that they will...Once you have gained their trust, it may be possible to get them professional help.It is very difficult on a loved one who is trying to help...Just hang in there and give all the love and support that you can ..You may first get this individual to speak to someone at a Hotline.Sometimes it is easier for them to speak with a total stranger, than someone they are close to..Good Luck to you and Your Loved one and God Bless....Please, keep us posted if we can help in anyway...
