Diagnosed with epilisy

Sometimes when in bed i find myself paralized for a short period of time, is this another type of seizure.

Yes, this is a type of seizure which fits into the Simple Partial category. Partial seizures involve epileptic activity in just a part of the brain. In a simple partial seizure you are fully conscious. You remain fully aware of your surroundings. Being conscious does not mean that you are able to stop or control the symptoms.

Simple Partial Seizures: No change in consciousness occurs. weakness, numbness, and unusual smells or tastes may be experienced. Twitching of the muscles or limbs, turning the head to the side, paralysis, visual changes, or vertigo may occur.
