More energy and less stress, the natural way....

What is the best thing that I can take for more energy? I would like to keep it natural, I do not like the crazy medications that the doctors give. I do not take medication for headaches or anything. I tried a few different vitamine supplements, but have not found anything good yet. What would be the best thing that will help me gain more energy? I feel like I could sleep most of the day. I get up and I eat well, I exercise for 45-60 minutes every morning, I walk often.... I just feel so drained all the time. I do suffer from a great deal of stress, I lost my grandfather, my 6 year old lost his best friend to a car accident, my mother attempted suicide 3 days ago, I took on the full-time care of a 91 year old man, AND my husbands gone 5 states away to be with his grandmother who is on her death bed. Maybe I need an anti-stresser?!

Hello, i'm not a good speller but i think you will get the point. first i would think that maybe you maybe going through a depression. (don't rise to your feet and yell..no i'm not) i said maybe. next, you have alot of stuff going on (oh really) i think that you need some quite time and deep breathing. some would call it meditation. this will help..... find a quite place where you won't be disturbed for at least 10 minutes. (lets try 10, more is better but well you know) sit (in a chair or on the floor or lay down in bed)
now close you eyes and breath. breath in from the noise and out the mouth. keep breathing (in the noise and out the mouth) and think of a safe place. a place where you feel well...safe. like the park, or the beach or the mountains. a place that you would like to be at right now. its warm and you don't have a worry in the world. you don't have to worry about phone calls. or appointments or washing dishes or making dinner any of that all you have to do is breath -in through the noise and out the mouth. just sit still and breath and think of that safe place. that warm safe place with nowhere to go and nothing to do. let the mind go quite. let your sprit go quite and breath in through the noise and out the mouth. don't think of anything but the warm safe place and breathing..........ding! times up

don't you feel better? well try that for a few days in a row and you will feel better. this is just a quike thing. you should breath out twice as much as you breath in. i know that sounds impossable but its true. i hope this helps. try to do this every day, forever peace robert

It defaintly sounds like you've got a great deal of stress in your life. Since your wanting to handle this in a more natural way, I suggest family counseling. It really does help, trust me! It sounds like your entire family is going through a tough time, and seeing a counselor together, and talking about some of the present issues is really really theraputic for stress. And, I think you'll find that with less stress in your life...all your old energy will start finding its way back to you. Anti-deppressants work, but you can become very dependant of them...trust me on this one too. I've found that seeing a counselor, (who can teach you simple stress-relievers), is much better. And, I think it would be good for the whole family.

Good luck, hon.

You do have quite a bit of stress in your life right now.

just make sure to take deep breathes through out the day and just breathe. :)

listening to calming music can help, as does the aerobic activity.

and make sure that you take at least 15-30 min a day of just Lissa time a day.

Thank you. Things are getting better. I started an exercise program that keeps me busy for 2 hours every morning and that also helps me with the stress and depression. I have been feeling a lot better lately!
