Your serum glucose result of 98 is within the normal serum glucose fasting range. Therefore you do not have impaired glucose tolerance and you are not prediabetic. There are lots of things which can temporarily increase blood glucose range, ie stress, colds, flus and infection. If you are worried about your serum glucose level you should get it rechecked in a few weeks time.
