Numbness in hip/thigh

I was wondering the reason why I am experiencing numbness in my right hip/thigh area. It is strange because I just noticed it a few days ago but it is not causing me any pain and I am able to function normally. My whole right leg is fine however it is just the small portion of the top of my right thigh that is numb. If you have any thoughts I'd appreciate a feedback. (male, 19 yrs)
