Pain in lower left

I have pain in my lower left side just below my pubic hair line it has been throbbing and become very painful. what could be causing can it be gas should i go to the doctors my periods have not been normal lately

Pain or tenderness in the lower left side of the abdomen, along with fever.
do you also have nausea, vomiting, chills, stomach cramps, and either diarrhea or constipation. Diverticulitis might be the cause and go see the doctor today!
