Prostate Cancer and lower rates with men living in other countries?

It seems Asian men tend to have the lowest prostate cancer risks . . . why is this and what do the experts believe is the reason for this?

I'm assuming it has something to do with diet.

Your prognosis for surviving prostate cancer may depend on your racial and ethnic background, a new study suggests.

Asian men have better survival rates than white males, while South Asians have the worst survival rates, according to results of one study.

The reasons for these racial and ethnic differences in prostate cancer survival aren't known.

Researchers found that for Asians, risk profiles were worse compared with whites. For example, Asians were more likely to have more advanced disease and use non-curative therapies. But, for Asians (except for South Asians) survival rates were equal to or better than rates for whites.

Disparities in survival were surprising and suggest that non-clinical factors, such as access to and quality of care, may play a part.

You are correct - diet has everything to do with it!

Asian diets tend to include less fat, more soy and more vegetables than the typical American diet, plus Asian men have less testosterone than most other ethnicities. High-fat diets have been linked to tumor growth over and over and over.

Another interesting fact: Did you know that veterinarians are 40% less likely to die or cancer than non-vegetarians.
