Should I be doing something else?

On Wednesday the 2nd I had a severe headache but had been suffering with a sinus infection. I felt weak so I went and had my blood pressure checked and it read 192/117 around 5:00 PM I went and laid down, I take blood pressure medicine Verapamil 180 mg. I checked it again that evening and it was 189/114. I went to the Walk in clinic and they told me to no longer take any cold medicine even though when I had the reading on Wednesday I had not taken any. Should I be concerned? They did not listen to my heart or do any tests regarding my blood pressure except to take my blood pressure and it read 155/99 this morning. I am 44, female, 5’4” 155 lbs. My primary care physician had a stroke?
