Sudden memory loss

My dad was at work and suddenly couldn't remember how old he was, what year it was and some of the names of his kids. He was also nauseated, dizzy and neede help to the car. My mom took him to the E.R. and they did a CAT scan took his blood pressure and said he was fine and sent him home. I don't believe he is fine. What could have caused this and what specialist should I bring him to?
