Toe Pain

I had surgey on my Rt Foot I have pain behind my 3rd toe the Dr.went and clip the ligment that was wrap around the nerve this was suppose to help, It did for a while But My problem is back He cut beween the 2nd and 3rd toe I was told the only other option was to clip the nerve.I want to know if there might be something else going on.I also experice pain on the pad on my foot behind the toes When I do a lot of walking Then I have walk with a limp to pervent the pain. I was also told that the nerve is rubbing on the bone in my foot.
