Tonsil stones

I have a 3 year old i have noticed for a while that her breath is really bad no matter how much i brushed her teeth. and today i noticed that her cheek was swollen so when i told her to open her mouth she stuck her tounge out and i saw a white lump in her throat and her throat is swollen. she wouldnt let me look at it very long and she screamed when i tried to touch it. should i take her to urgent care or just let it go?

If she's not in any distress at this time (or doesn't have a fever) you can make an urgent appointment for her to be seen by a pediatrician but very soon. Will she let you take her temperature? You can use an ear thermometer. Is she eating good? The white lumps (stones) are very likely bacteria, sulphur compounds, & dead mucosal cells. She may or may not need a tonsillectomy, but she has an infection.
