Unsure of what is wrong

I work 8+ hours a day on my feet and lately when I get home if I sit for a dew minutes I feel so sleepy I can hardly move but if I take a hot bath I feel fine for a bit but it comes back even harder. Sleep fine between 4 to 12 hour depending on how hard that feeling comes on. Sometime have chest pain with a sharp throbbing head pain in the top of my head and moving bright flashes in my eyes, many the left eye. this has been going on for about three weeks and getting worst a little bit each week. No muscle pain, but the soul and heels of my feet have been hurt more then usual but I think mostly that is because I don't sit down at work I stay on the move because the moment I sit that is it I can't walk or move I will just want to go to sleep, but I have done this all my life so I don't understand. I did have a small stroke in 92 but everything bounced back. I several ribs in my chest that are floaters because injuries as a child that do shift from time to time but I can push them back in place usually with little or no problem at all. I am 46yrs, 5'3", weight 160lbs live alone.

Do you eat well? Most of the time in healthy individuals, fatigue can be a result of something missing in your diet. You should try to eat lean protein (egg whites, almonds, walnuts, white fish, chicken) and limit if not get rid of completely complex carbs and sugars like candy, pop, cookies, etc.

You should also eat small meals every few hours - 7, 10, 1, 3, 5 and 8. Your body need fuel to run. If it doesn't get better, I would consult your doctor in case there is something else going on.

Good luck!

Jodi has some good advice, I'll add on drinking more water and taking a multivitamin daily. You might want to check and see if you are iron defiecient. This could be causing your lack of energy.

I had similar situations. My doctor suggested a sleep test. I found out I have sleep apnea and I never did get to a deep healthy sleep although it seemed like I did. I am on a machine and it has changed my life. If you have the money try to see a doctor. I know it can be hard once all the bills come in for some but it was worth it. Good luck and take care of yourself.

As a nurse I would recommend that you go to the doctor and have a complete check up. You possibly could have hypothyroidism. Many times the symptoms are weight gain, fatigue and constant tiredness even when you have slept all night. Also, low potassium levels, a low red blood cell count, or a low hemoglobin, or hematocrit can cause fatigue, and sleepiness if you are anemic. I could go on and on about the possibilities, and yes, it could even be sleep apnea. Your symptoms are those of any number of medical problems and could simply be indicative of not getting enough sleep and rest at night. Take care of yourself and please go see your doctor. You only have one you and no one else is going to take care of you if you don't take care of you first.

I concur with Ryno. This is not a question for the internet, you need to see a doctor. These are the sort of symptoms that I'd be worried about if was me.

Go see a doctor.
