Upper right quadrant pain can be a number of things. Besides gall bladder stones, peptic ulcer, gastritis, esophagitis and even pancreatitis (although on the left- pain can be felt on the right). Pancreatitis would probably involve nausea too, and so might an ulcer. Gastritis or liver inflammation seems a possibility, but not even a doctor can tell you without ultrasound and lab tests.

In what way has the gallbladder been ruled out? Many times, just because an ultrasound shows no stones, it does not mean that the gallbladder is healthy. Did you have a hepatobiliary scan with a gallbladder ejection fraction(GBEF)calculated? I have done many patients who have no stones yet still have very low GBEF's.

If it is below gallbladder and gallbladder has been ruled out then it could be appendix. It could be above gallbladder which is the liver. It sometimes can feel like it is below but it is just how the pain radiates.

Pick up some milk thistle. This is very powerful and aides in healing the liver. If you want to be proactive, you can get a liver/gallbladder cleanse and detox them both. The pain should subside within a few days.

First of all I would have to ask if you are on any medication and if so list them.
Second do you consume any alcohol and again if so how much.
Then are you a male or female and wt/height.
I just read you said pain is close to arm pit. Glands are under the arm pits feel for lumps or swelling and do a self breast exam. Look on the net they will show you the proper way.
Pain can come from another part of the body yet have no connection with that area. I at first thought was liver now I can honestly say no matter what you must see your Dr. and have proper test done, Do not allow this to get out of control when early treatment can result in back to good heath and the worry will cause the ulcer
Good Luck

Costochondritis, inflammation of the costo membrane between the ribs. Or pleurisy. If it is costochondritis, hot packs and cold packs alternating every 20 minutes. If it is bacterial or viral see a doctor. It could be noninfectious chondritis. If pleurisy it usually follows from a bout of bronchitus but not necessarily. See a doctor.

I had pain under my left rib cage for many many years. I also would get charley horse's in the same area .It was so severe that I had to pull of the road immediatly.I just could not move until I massaged the pain away,in a small measure. It ended up being a fibroid tumor that attached itself to my blood vessels and was warring and pulling each other apart. It weighed 13 lbs when the surgeons dissected it.And it was rare.Only #7 in the world.Hopefully you will get checked out by a sonar test of your stomach and ribs. Please keep me informed of your progress. connieb138@gmail.com

Your pain could result from any number of things. If the problem persists or gets worse, you should see a doctor to diagnose a problem or put your concerns to rest.

Your body is a complicated entity. A pain like the one you mentioned could be caused by something trivial like gas or a minor muscle pull. Or it could be something more serious like a broken rib. Consider getting it checked out if it continues to bother you.
