What could be causing my nauseousness?

Almost everyday day now for the last 4-5 months i have been getting nauseated. I know i am not pregnant. When i get these little "spells", sometimes they get so bad that i start shaking, my heart races, and I get really warm feeling. Sometimes a couple saltine crackers make it feel a little better but at other times it's so bad i can't force myself to take anything in. I don't vomit, but it takes everything in me to keep from doing so. It doesn't matter if i eat or not, or what i eat when it happens. I am a casino attendant and it is affecting my job to where i have to sit down somewhere until the feeling passes and most of the time it lasts for about 20 minutes or so. What could be causing this and what can i do for it?

My mom used to have a problem like that caused by inner ear problems. It upset her equilibrium enough that it was like being sea sick all of the time. Just an idea to talk about with your doc as most people wouldn't consider that...

I am sorry. This could be caused by many things, the most likely causes are your Birth Controle method (if you are using a hormone based BC) and, depending on your age, Perimenopause, or pre menopause. It definetly sounds like a hormone imbalance. For a free booklet and a free consultation with a health and wellness advisors, go here.

Have you ever had an anxiety disorder? This sounds like they could be panic attacks to me. They usually show up in your late teens or early 20's - does that fit the profile?

Check out the section on Symptoms. I've had these for years and have been on and off medication, but I found limiting caffeine and doing yoga works much better and has no side effects.
