Eat something that has some simple sugars in it. Like drinking a coke or pepsi, sucking on a piece of hard candy like a Jolly Rancher.

Her doctor should have given her a list of foods to eat when her blood sugar level drops that low. You might want to ask her too to see if she has a list of foods.

DO NOT USE SODA to correct this problem!! Slow sips of orange juice and as well as the hard candy sid mentioned are good choices if you do not have any Glucose tabs on hand. These can be obtained over the counter at your pharmacy and are something that no insulin dependent diabetic should be with out, ever. Why no soda? The type of sugar in soda, coupled with the acids will cause to rapid of a spike in blood sugar and leave you with another blood sugar crash later.
