Who should I sent a letter of complaint?
I live in Des Moines, Iowa in an apertament comples. During the rain storm the carpets in both of my bedrooms got total soaked. I reported this to the manager of apartment complex on a Friday and she assured me that she would have it taken care of on Monday. By Wednesday nothing had happen, so I called and spoke to the Assitant manager and he said that he would have it fixed that day. When I got home I could tell that nothing had been done, the carpets are still very wet and there is mold growing on the walls. I have opened my bedroom windows in hope to dry out the carpet, and closed the doors. I moved everything out of the bedrooms and have been sleeping on my couch everynight. My question, Should I send a certified letter to the mamger or to the complex owners? Should I mention that i will deduct so much off my next month's rent until the problem is fix?
