Some people, like professional "hotdog eaters"(that you can see on), have eaten so much over a short period of time that there stomach has increased over time. Take pro hot dog eaters for example. An average humans stomach size is a about 1 liter give or take. A pro hot dog eater's stomach sign is around 4 to 5 liters which is just unbelievable. So, basically, if you are a person that eats a lot daily, then your stomach will actually increase in size. With some other people who are obese, they me get stomach size reductions via surgery. hope this helps!

The part of the brain that controls appetite is called the hypothalamus, and it responds to four different hormones: insulin, leptin, CCK, and ghrelin. The first three signal when one has had enough to eat and the last inhibits the function of the first three. With normal foodstuffs, the satiety signal appears readily enough. However, fructose in particular fails to stimulate production of these hormones and is accordingly regarded as a toxin or poison by many dietitians. Many foods these days are chock full of HFCS, also known as high-fructose corn syrup, which has roughly equal parts fructose and glucose.

It might sound conspiratorial to suggest that food makers and sellers have purposely substituted HFCS for other sweeteners precisely to forestall the feeling of fullness, but then, no one believed the conspiracy to load cigarettes with addictive nicotine for a long while. Soft drinks are among the worst offenders. One can drink a 32-oz. fountain drink without the normal "I'm full" signal ever reaching the brain.
