Why does my toddler have chapped skabbed toes?

My 2 year old has very chapped and scabs on his big toes. He wears socks and does not go outside barefooted. Should I be concerned for any reason?

Yes i think i would take him to a foot doctor and see what's going on with this , and a small amount may be normal but this is a little too much and maybe this is a foot fungus or some thing going on!

Are his shoes fitting well? I was recently surprised to find that my 3 y.o. should have been in a size 7 shoe, but was wearing size 5! Needless to say her toes had been a little red from being squished. Now that we've got her in the right size of shoe, they are fine.
