Why is my 8 month old's soft spot pulsating?

My son Logan, is 8 months old. He is a twin. Out of 4 kids I have never noticed any of thier soft spots pulsating until today. I want to know if this is normal or not? Do you think I should take him to the doctor to have it checked?

I would advise you to have this checked by his Pediatrician. At 8 months old, this suture line should be starting to close...When we deal with infants , one does not want to leave anything to chance..Better to have this looked at...This could be perfectly normal for this little one. But, you want to be sure..Good Luck to you and please keep us posted...God Bless you and the little one...

I called an RN and she said that it was completely normal. If they are sitting up, eating or playing sometimes it pulstes depending on thier heart rate. I was mainly concerened because I have 4 children 2 girls and twin boys. Logan is one of the twins and I have never seen this happen before. Plus he was outside the other day and his dad was riding him on one of the girls little powerwheels and he fell off and hit the back of his head on the pavement. Talk about someone heart jumping out thier chest, mine drop to stomach. I picked him up imediatly and took him inside and gave him a small dose of tylenol for his headache. I called the nurse and she said that I needed to keep an eye on it but as long as the knot on his head was out and there wasn't a huge amount of bruising that most likely he will be fine. But if it started swelling more and more with time and the bruising started to spread then he will need to be taken to the ER. Thankfully the knot was only there for a couple of hours and there was no bruising. Not even a scrap. He never stopped acting like himself. He was still a very energetic 8 mnth old.

Thank you for your answer! I really appreciate it.
