Tri-Spintec Birth control causing yeast infection?

I was switched 5 months ago ( May) to generic Tri-Sprintec from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. About the same time, I started having constant burning (in between times I urinate) and I was treated for a UTI but the burning came back. I was treated yet again for a UTI the end of July and burning came back. I saw my gynecologist around Sept 1st. and told him about burning and he found yeast and put me on Diflucan but burning came back after treatment.It is now Oct.. and I am seeing a Urologist and he found some discharge and yeast and put me on Diflucan also and running test to find out why I have frequent UTI. I started the generic Tri-Sprintec about the time the burning started going on...could Tr-Sprintec cause a severe yeast infection/
