Worring And Friends

How do you stop worring about little petty things that bother you, And also issues. I think of things constantly, from one thing to another about, What if I did this, What did I do wrong, Am I that bad of a person, Who am I (As in Charater), and Etc. Yes, I can do things all the time, but while I am doing them I think of things like that too. I think of things for at least 2 hour and a half (Sometime More, Sometimes Less) before bed, so I don't get alot of rest (I tried taking sleeping pills, they take forever). I listen to what everyone says and they say I still don't listen. I try to make everyone happy and they still aren't my real friends. I grew up around people around 30+ and I comunicate with them nicely, I feel confortbale around them.) I am 20 years old I have great parents but, I wasn't tought very good social skills. I think I have Bipolar NOS (I'm not sure, I tried the mental doctor but, they never would diaose me). I have lots of intresting things that are popular and still no one likes me as a friend in my own age group. I have tried everthing to get them as a friend here are some examples, (speak to them nicely, madlike, loudly, quitly, first and last),(make conversation about the subject and not),(hang with the crowd in the front and back), (smell and dress, lovely and badly around them), (the list goes on or etc). I have herad that "you can't make everyone happy", or "you can lead a horse to water but, you can't make him drink it". I speak my mind mostly.

You may be a natural worrywart. Some people worry more than others.

What concerns me is that you are seeking approval from others. You need to find out what makes you happy and do things for yourself and not just for others. The more confidence you have in yourself, the more self esteem you have the more people are likely to pick up on it.

I'm also concerned that you may suffer from manic depression. Very high highs, very low lows. I would try talking to a different theropist and getting a second opinion. You may not be though, You just may be at a very incertain time in your life and when we grow as teens are brain chemicals change.

You have to like yourself before others can like you. Take pride in who you are, do the things you love to do and people will start noticing you.
